Our Story
Annette Leclair, the founder of Técare, spent years in the beauty industry. She noticed a frustrating gap: women over 40 just weren’t being seen. No expert to ask, no tailored guidance, and no time to sort through thousands of trending products that didn't speak to your real skincare needs. So, Annette did what few do—she went back to school, dove into independent research, and interviewed over 300 women about their skincare experience.
Our Mission
Técare, a Canadian beauty retailer of skincare for mature skin, was born from those conversations. Backed by research, built on service, and guided by decades of hands-on industry experience, our mission is simple: make skincare smart, approachable, and empowering.

Our Founder & CEO
Annette Leclair is the Founder & Chief Knowledge Officer of Técare, a
Canadian education and retail platform dedicated to helping women over 40 make
confident skincare and wellness decisions.
Combining more than 25 years of
marketing leadership experience with graduate-level research expertise, Annette
launched Técare following an original mixed-method consumer study involving
over 300 women.
Her unique perspective is shaped by years of advanced training from global skincare
brands, certification in Makeup Artistry from Complections International Academy, luxury beauty retail leadership, and her work as a business professor and researcher.
Annette specializes in translating complex skincare information, industry trends, and consumer insights into practical guidance
that helps women navigate changing skin with confidence.

Note: “clean” beauty is not a regulated term, so we provide additional descriptions to give you the full picture. We select products with proven ethical standards of production, ingredients, and environmental sustainability.
